Hello Blog family it has been awhile since I have actually posted my thoughts. I hope that from the Bible Study we have all grown and can now see changes in our lives.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) Since the Bible study I have taken off a lot of weight. Not physically per se' just challenges. I thank God for every lesson learned and every victory.
I am sure that everyone is aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Everywhere you turn you can find pink items for sale. I supported the cause just the other day by purchasing three yummy chocolate cookies with pink chocolate candies baked in. At the time I didn't really think much about what this month really means, I just ate the cookies. Riding home I was in somewhat of a daze thinking about tasks that needed to be handled. Frankly, I felt overwhelmed about what needed to be done etc. With home, work, kids, a new PUPPY (that's another story for another day), and other responsibilities that God has trusted me with (another story for ANOTHER day). I wanted to call someone and start complaining and have a pity party. As I drove up to a stop light I noticed cycle cops at the intersection and immediately started looking around to see what was going on. To the left there was a sea of pick crossing the highway. Women and men, carrying signs, wearing pink! I knew right away it had to be the 3 day walk to support Breast Cancer.
At that moment I realized I need to focus on something bigger than me and my cares. I can't begin to imagine causes that lead up to them making the decision to walk. Rather it be their own health, the lost of a love one to cancer, or for the support of a friend. I was moved to tears just thinking about it. I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone to support the cause. Log onto the website and sign up to receive a daily email reminder to click and give a free mammogram. While you are at it maybe you will find an item to purchase to support the cause as well.

PS I realize now what I must do when I feel overwhelmed...
Proverbs 3:5-6 (King James Version)
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be Blessed
